Wow! It’s in the 80’s today….a cold front I guess! Seriously, it’s a very pleasant day and a relief from the “dog-days” ofAugust! I’m excited to say that our people are gathering back to the Lord’s house! After a very hot summer of vacations and activities, families are getting back into the flow of church. I pray you’ll find your place of service here at Lindsay Lane. I also pray these two messages on the “Misconceptions About Ministry” will speak to our church family causing each of us to answer the question of “why did God call me into the Ministry?” Remember, if you’ve been saved you’re in ministry and missions! Amen.
Think about it….God saves us to serve and glorify Him. When we do we are not only blessed but we receive the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life. What better turn on investment could we have than to be involved in the process of changing a person’s life? I’m also excited for the opportunity to preach on Wednesday nights on one of the greatest chapters in the Bible….First Corinthians chapter 15! The resurrection of Jesus Christ! This passage of scripture is the heart and soul of our salvation! For if Christ be not risen then our faith is in vain and we are still in our sin! Wednesday nights are really great! It’s a relaxed time of studying God’s word through a verse by verse format. Wee & Kids Praise are available for the kids along with tremendous praise and preaching for our Student Ministry. So, we’re gearing up for yet another Fall of Fun, Fellowship, and yes Football. BUT, especially another Fantastic opportunity of worshipping, growing and serving our great God!
